Blending Technician

This position is responsible for ensuring products are weighed and blended in accordance with FDA regulatory requirements as well as outlined in company procedures and policies.
Job Functions:
Operate all equipment associated with weighing and blending. This includes scales, blenders, stand-mixers, steam boilers, emulsifiers, granulators and mills.
Operate electric pallet jack and forklift for material handling
Examine and verify powders to be weighed or blended, based on identifying data on containers and production batch records
Weigh products per batch specification ensuring the correct ingredients and proper quantities are added
Prepare powders for mixing such as milling, pre-blending, and sifting
Move weighed, palletized product from staging area to blending room
Blend and allocate products in a timely manner
Store, pull and rotate raw materials
Complete logs and the appropriate sections of production batch records accurately
Clean blending and weighing equipment when necessary
Alert Supervisor immediately of any discrepancies resulting from weighing or blending
Job Requirements and Skills:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1 yr. previous Manufacturing / Production experience preferred
Good employment stability in previous jobs
Must be able to complete BRC Compounding Technician Training
Previous experience operating a forklift and electric pallet jack preferred
Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment safely
Capable of performing activities of significant physical exertionEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
