Hyg Coordinator should focus To maximize HYG production To help Hygienist producing To Sell Hyg Products HYG Coordinator needs to lead the hygiene team huddle before the day starts and share 1)the previous day's production/collection and 2)estimated production of the day with team members.
One should also share 3)the goal of the month with the team and inform the general department if there are any pending treatments from hygiene patients.
HYG Coordinator is responsible for every hygiene patient's insurance verification.
HYG Coordinator needs to audit the daily schedule to maximize the production (exam, fluoride, radiographs and SDF) HYG Coordinator is responsible for providing the detailed routing slips for their hygienist.
Making the most comfortable environment for their hygienist is one of the main job duties so that the hygienist can focus on the treatment.
(eligibility for fluoride, SDF, perio chart, ortho coverage, pending treatment ) If there is any cancellation, your job priority is to fill the schedule.
HYG coordinator should be the master of managing the schedules.
You should alway have your own list of patients to calI.
In case of cancellations, you must follow up to motivate patients to maintain or reschedule their appointments.
HYG Coordinator needs to confirm with patients 48 hours prior to their appointments.
Educate patients that if they do not confirm with us, their appointment will be automatically canceled.
You have to audit HYG patients' ledger at the end of day.
Please make sure we are not missing to send any claims.
HYG Coordinator is responsible for checking patients in.
Hygiene coordinator should be sitting in the front of the office.
Make sure that your patients are greeted with smiles and called by their names.
Update their medical history if needed.
Make sure we have all the pictures of patients updated.
Very important.
The lobby is your territory.
Make sure patients do not wait more than 8 minutes.
Please update our back team members when they arrive using ear pieces.
If you think that they will have to wait more than 8 minutes, inform the patient as soon as they arrive that we are little behind.
Do not tell them that they will have to wait extra 7 minutes, after they already spent 8 minutes waiting in the lobby.
Make sure Lobby is nice and clean.
Make sure cushions are on the right spot and there is no trash on the table.
Music and screens have to be always on before the day starts.
